Superset Consulting Requirement A major financial services enterprise sought to transition away from a proprietary, industry-leading BI solution within a key product line. To achieve significant reductions in licensing costs, they aimed to migrate to an Open Source platform, specifically Apache Superset.
Deliverables NobleProg engaged in multiple project workshops with the client to thoroughly define requirements, scope, risks, and the technical environment. This assessment allowed us to draft a comprehensive Statement of Work to steer and monitor the project effectively. Our lead consultant focused on aligning the existing data architecture with specific reporting needs across various report types. Recommendations were made to optimize data stores for the best possible use of Superset and to ensure peak performance, with expert guidance provided to the implementation team for executing these changes. Once the data store and pipeline were optimized, our consultants began developing and deploying a diverse set of reports, addressing both pre-existing requirements and new requests from business stakeholders and customers. To meet specific presentation needs, custom plug-ins were developed to enable more interactive data visualization features, such as drill-down capabilities.
Outcome Beyond building new dashboards, the consultants ensured that sufficient knowledge was transferred to the customer's organization, empowering their team to maintain the dashboards and reports independently.
The project remains in progress and has been highly regarded by both the client's business unit and their end users. Highlighting the project's success, it has been expanded to cover additional products and customer segments.
