Superset Data Visualization and Dashboard Consulting Engagement
A major financial services firm sought to transition away from an industry-leading BI solution within one of its core products, opting instead to adopt an Open Source system (Superset) to achieve significant savings in licensing costs.
Deliverables NobleProg conducted several project meetings with the client to thoroughly understand the requirements, scope, risks, and technical environment. Based on this analysis, we developed a comprehensive Statement of Work to guide and monitor the project. Our lead consultant worked to align the existing data architecture to meet the reporting needs for each report type. The NobleProg lead consultant recommended modifications to the data stores to maximize Superset’s capabilities and ensure optimal performance, providing guidance to the team implementing these changes. Following the optimization of the data store and data pipeline, our consultants began building and deploying various reports based on existing requirements and new requests from the business and customers. To present the data as requested, custom plugins were developed to enable more interactive data presentation (such as drill-down features).
Outcome The consultants have been constructing new dashboards while also ensuring that sufficient knowledge is embedded within the customer organization to maintain the dashboards and reports. The project is currently ongoing and has been well-received by both the customer’s business and their end clients. To further demonstrate the project’s success, it has been expanded and extended to include additional products and end clients.
