Day 1: Introduction to ISO/IEC 27001 and initiating an ISMS
Day 2: Planning the deployment of an ISMS
Day 3: Executing the ISMS implementation
Day 4: Monitoring the ISMS, driving continual improvement, and preparing for the certification audit
Day 5: Certification exam preparation
Upon successful completion of the course, participants will receive an exam voucher, allowing them to schedule their online exam at their convenience via the PECB online exam platform.
The “PECB Certified ISO/IEC 27001 Lead Implementer” exam adheres to the PECB Examination and Certification Program (ECP) standards. It encompasses the following competency domains:
- Domain 1: Fundamental principles and concepts of an information security management system (ISMS)
- Domain 2: Information security management system (ISMS)
- Domain 3: Planning an ISMS implementation based on ISO/IEC 27001
- Domain 4: Implementing an ISMS based on ISO/IEC 27001
- Domain 5: Monitoring and measuring an ISMS based on ISO/IEC 27001
- Domain 6: Continual improvement of an ISMS based on ISO/IEC 27001
- Domain 7: Preparing for an ISMS certification audit

PECB ISO/IEC 27001 Certification Path and Requirements
After passing the exam, you may apply for one of four professional credentials based on your level of experience. All credentials require passing the PECB Certified ISO/IEC 27001 Lead Implementer Exam (or an approved equivalent) and signing the PECB Code of Ethics.
1. Certified ISO/IEC 27001 Provisional Implementer
Suitable for candidates who have a strong theoretical foundation but lack practical field experience.

2. Certified ISO/IEC 27001 Implementer
Designed for professionals with foundational, hands-on experience in information security implementation.

Professional Experience: Two years total, including at least one year of specific work experience in Information Security Management

ISMS Project Experience: A minimum of 200 hours of qualifying project activities

3. Certified ISO/IEC 27001 Lead Implementer
The standard credential for experienced professionals qualified to lead and manage an organization's entire implementation process.

Professional Experience: Five years total, including at least two years of specific work experience in Information Security Management

4. Certified ISO/IEC 27001 Senior Lead Implementer
The highest tier, intended for expert practitioners with extensive, long-term leadership experience in the industry.

Professional Experience: Ten years total, including at least seven years of specific work experience in Information Security Management

Requirements
